By God’s amazing grace, we rejoice that Chapel Library sent materials to 101 countries in 2016, a wonderful answer to prayer: Albania, Antigua, Argentina, Aruba, Australia, Bahamas, Bangladesh, Belize, Bermuda, Bhutan, Bolivia, Brazil, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Canada, Cayman Islands, Central African Republic, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Denmark, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Fiji, Finland, France, Gambia, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Guyana, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Kenya, Liberia, Lithuania, Malawi, Malaysia, Mali, Malta, Mexico, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, Nepal, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Pakistan, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Republic of South Africa, Romania, Russia, Rwanda, Saint Lucia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Suriname, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tanzania, Thailand, Trinidad & Tobago, Tunisia, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Uruguay, Venezuela, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

The Bible Institute has 76 active volunteer graders in 32 states and 41 branches in 25 countries.

First Lithuanian FGB

In the small Baltic nation of Lithuania, the Lord has given Julius Vilnius a passion for making edifying spiritual material available in the Lithuanian language. Reformed Literature Center (www.reformatuknygos.lt), Julius’ publishing organization, has translated dozens of books into Lithuanian and is constantly adding titles for Christians and inquirers in this previously Soviet-controlled country of about 3 million people. Julius requested permission to start a Lithuanian FGB project, and we allowed him to do so independently. The first two issues, The Gospel and Repentance, are in distribution.

“We’re already getting very good feedback from the readers saying that they have had so many misconceptions regarding the gospel of Jesus Christ and enquiring when the next issue will come out.” – Julius

Printing in Other Countries

While we do most of our production on our presses and digital machines in Pensacola, we have been working with qualified, well-established distributors to locally reproduce materials as well. Local printing in Colombia, India, Cuba, Romania, and Bolivia has dramatically increased our literature volume in these countries and reduced costs at the same time.

MZBI Grading Opportunity

The Bible Institute has more than 1,000 students studying by correspondence, most of whom are prison inmates. Many of these have little access to biblical truth, as there is much false doctrine in the prisons. We are inviting new grader applicants for the correspondence students’ lessons, in English and Spanish. The main qualifications are spiritual maturity in the Lord, over 35 years old, and residing in North America. The students mail completed lessons to us, we send them to the grader (who writes discipleship feedback in his own home), then he sends them back to us, and we return them to the student. If you or someone you know (a retired person, for example) is willing to give four hours per week in ministry as a grader, please contact us, and we will send an information kit.

“It is a great blessing to do this work. It fills my heart to see these men who are imprisoned and, no doubt, yearning for their freedom, looking to Jesus Christ in the Word of God. They are finding that He alone provides true, eternal freedom, a gift to them beyond compare. It is also a great privilege to have a small share in the mission to spread the gospel of Jesus outside of the circle where I live. His mercy and grace are beyond my words to explain.” – a grader in SC

“I am looking forward to future lessons to grade…In grading these lessons I feel like I’m receiving a seminary education!” – from a grader in TX

Literature Catalog & Price Increase

Our new 2017 Literature Catalog is available. Please request your copy today or fill out and return the included Free Quarterly Offer sheet to receive the items offered this quarter plus the Catalog.

You may notice that the listed “prices” in the new Catalog have increased by almost 7%. Chapel Library is a faith ministry sustained by our God’s faithfulness and goodness. Why would we list our “prices,” and why would we need to increase them at any time? The “price” we set for each piece of literature is actually the estimate of our operating cost per page for that item; we do not include any profit in that cost. Our relative operating costs do tend to rise over time. As stewards of the resources God has given us, we limit free literature orders within North America to $20 value per month per household. This “price” helps people know how much they can order for the month, or what their cost will be if they wish to order more than the monthly limit.

We are very grateful for the Lord’s generous provision for us over the years. We are humbled that He has enabled us to send large volumes of literature free of charge every year to missions, church planting efforts, seminaries, prisons, conferences, and outreach ministries both in the US and around the world. A special highlight for us is that we sent literature into over 100 countries in 2016.

Louisiana Flooding Fund

We praise the Lord that since the flood in Louisiana in August, we have received $14,067.20 in gifts designated for flood relief. We have disbursed the entire amount to New Covenant Church, Denham Springs, LA, and Friendship Baptist Church, Baker, LA.

We are now closing the fund, and we suggest that any further gifts be made directly to these two churches. You may contact us for details.

Letters from Far and Near

As our hearts rejoice in the impact God is giving Chapel Library in various places, we are reminded that we are nothing and Christ is everything! “Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake” (Psa 115:1).

Foreign Language Translations

We are collaborating with Reformation Translation Fellowship to produce Chinese editions of several titles. In addition to this, volunteers have been working with us on Chinese translations. We currently have 5 titles in print.

Antioch Baptist Church in Malawi, Africa, completed a Chichewa edition of the London Baptist Confession of 1689. We were blessed to partner with this church in making 1,000 copies of this available in Malawi, where there is little reliable reading material.

Several contacts in South Korea have requested permission to independently use our material in projects. They have produced Korean editions of selected FGB issues as well as other material.

A friend in Poland recently contacted us again; we had not heard from him in a decade due to a serious accident. By God’s help, he is actively serving the Lord once again and has ordered a large number of our Polish tracts and booklets.
